Laura Brown Assistant Coach

Coach Laura started swimming summer league at age 5 in Dunwoody, GA. She quickly fell in love with the sport and began swimming for Swim Atlanta, all year around, at age 7. She had the incredible privilege of working under some of the sports' best coaches and enjoyed training and competing across the country. She participated in multiple State Championships and Zone Championships. She was the Captain of her high school swim team, Chattahoochee High School, in Duluth, GA, where they won dual state championships in 1996. Laura enjoyed teaching swim lessons and coaching both summer league and for Swim Atlanta, throughout high school and college. After college, she and her husband, Adam, moved to Macon, GA where she coached for Swim Macon and began an all year around swim lesson program. Adam's active duty career in the Air Force moved them to TX and MS until they landed here in Savannah in 2015. Laura has 5 children, ages 24-10 yrs old. She is pleased to have 4 children swimming for the Barracudas this season! Laura is thrilled to be back on the pool deck coaching and working with young swimmers.
